You want the best people helping you meet your objectives

QHI clients typically have a lot riding on the outcome of their Ruby on Rails projects. They want the best, most experienced people who can architect and develop systems quickly, yet solidly.

The profiles below show a few of the consultants/employees we've provided over the last few years.

     Yehuda Katz

Yehuda Katz is a member of the Rails Core Team, the jQuery Core Team, and a core contributor to DataMapper. He contributes to many open source projects, like Rubinius and Johnson, and works on some projects he created himself, like Thor.

We interviewed Yehuda in 2006 and realized we had met someone really special. He lived in NYC but moved to California to work for one of our clients. In 2008, Yehuda joined the Engine Yard engineering team in San Francisco. By the end of 2008, he joined the Rails core team. His main focus now is helping to make Rails 3.0 the best it can be.

     Randall Thomas

Randall is a classically trained musician who took too many calculus classes along the way and got sucked into the sciences. He's worked in various industries with numerous startups, covering everything from robotics, to low-level telecommunications and networking, to applied computing for stock trading systems. Randall's most recent obsession is Ruby, Erlang, and OCaml.

We interviewed Randall in 2007 and realized he'd be perfect for clients who need short, high-level development consulting work. He worked for a handful of QHI clients before starting work at Engine Yard in 2008.

     Blake Mizerany

Blake has been into Ruby since 2001, and is the creator of Sinatra, the popular Ruby micro-framework. Blake spends his days at Heroku, where he develops features out of Ruby and Erlang. He speaks regularly at Ruby events.

We interviewed Blake in 2006 and realized he was someone we needed helping our clients. He lived in St. Louis but moved to SF to do on-site consulting for our clients. Blake later worked at several other SF-area Rails companies, ultimately landing at Heroku.
