About the Client
The client is a startup in the online video space. They are accomplished ex-Microsoft development folks from the USA and Asia.
They are serious about Rails and about building a very large deployment - perhaps the largest Rails site to date (even bigger
than Twitter!).
One of our top Rails architects, Tom Mornini, is starting with this client on August 6th. We'd like to get as many of the
needed 2-3 Rails developers started at the same time, or very soon thereafter.
The client would like as much on-site time as possible, but they are flexible. At least some on-site time (a week here, a
week there) is desired and the client will pay all expenses.
If you like the workplace and they like you, this could turn into a full-time employment opportunity, but you should go into
this contract assuming it will just be 2+ months of contracting.
To show their seriousness about this contract, the client is offering top contracting pay!
If you're a really experienced Rails developer and you can travel at least a little, this is a great opportunity to earn
great money with an interesting startup in a fun place (Southern California, not far from the ocean) and still be able to
spend lots of time home, if needed.

About the Client
Tribune is a new client for us. We don't have many details, yet, but our interactions so far have been very positive. Our main contact
is bright and nice to work with, which usually says something about the workplace.
This need is immediate.
This is 100% on-site contracting. Tribune will pay reasonable costs for travel, lodging, and incidentals while on-site.
If Tribune likes your work and you like the workplace, the assumption is that they'll make you a job offer within a few months.
Therefore, they only want candidates who are open to the idea of relocating to Chicago and working for Tribune full-time.

About the Work Environment
We've been working with this small, hip media company since early 2007. They've been working with one of our best Rails contractors,
but they also need 2 solid Rails developers as employees.
JibJab really wants top Rails skills and experience.
This is 100% on-site employment. Reasonable relocation costs will be paid to get a good candidate from most places in the USA.
This is a really cool opportunity for 2 people! Two blocks from the beach, great weather almost all year, beach attire, etc. We just visited their office on June 26 and it's definitely a nice place to work and a nice city in which to live.
