Team Lead Rails Developer, Senior Rails Developer Our client seeks experienced, proactive Ruby on Rails Team Lead and Senior developers to join our Dallas, TX development team. This is an outstanding opportunity to develop innovative Ruby and Rails applications that provide exceptional functionality and value to our internal and external customers. Plus, as a member of the core technology team, you'll be helping to shape delivery practices and company culture. Your passion, personality and ability are of paramount importance, although it is also essential that you: 1) Enjoy working in a demanding startup environment. 2) Have at least 2 years of experience with Ruby / Rails. [Note: Equivalent experience with Java considered for non-team lead position only] 3) Have experience with Web Services, Unix/Linux, MySQL and JavaScript. 4) Have experience as the lead developer for a successful commercial project. 5) Understand both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies. 6) Have worked within a continuous integration environment and ideally (but not required) have experience with distributed repositories such as Git. 7) Have Experience managing or mentoring developers and establishing and implementing development best practices. [Team lead only] It's also a big plus if you have experience at another startup and with developing Javascript Rich Internet applications (RIAs). You need to be a good fit for the team.
